~~My name is Chewie and I am 12 years old. I could tell you a long story about how I ended up being a foster dog but it really doesn't matter the important thing is that someone felt I deserved a chance to live with a new family for the time I have left. But hey don't count the days till my departure yet I am a young 12. Yeah I have a few old man issues......my bladder isn't what it used to be but that doesn't mean I have accidents....unless you sleep through my need to go. But I do tell you I need to go!! I still like a good romp session.......I can show you how to play get my hoof chew from me if you can.......but if you don't feel like playing thats ok I like to play throw it for myself. I like to lay outside on nice days, I like naps in the big people bed, I like shopping at Lowe's or any place that lets dogs in, I like walks when it is cool, I like my foster mom and I will like you too if you give me a chance. I am neutered, vaccinated, been wormed and flea treated. I weigh 87 lbs but probably need to lose a few pounds so maybe we could work on that together. My adoption fee is $75. I am fostered in Clarksburg, WV.

Pet Helpers is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit foster based volunteer rescue located in Fairmont, WV.  We do adopt out of state to approved applicants, if you are willing to drive to WV to pick up your pet.  We do not fly or use transport companies.  Our adoption fee is $150.00 for mixed breed puppies and adult dogs, $225.00 for full blooded puppies and adult dogs and $50.00 for cats and kittens.  Regardless if the animal is a mixed breed or full blooded they are spayed/neutered prior to adoption IF they are old enough.  If they are too young at the time of adoption, then it is your financial responsibility to spay/neuter the pet by the age of 6 months and you must provide proof for our files that it has been done.  All of our pets are checked by a vet, given the shots appropriate for their age and any other treatment deemed necessary by the vet.  All of our pets are adopted as indoor pets and are not be outdoors tied to a box 24/7.  The pet you are adopting has been living in a home with a foster family.  You are expected to take possession of the pet you are applying for within a few days of application approval.  This will enable us to accept another pet into that home.  Because we are a rescue, and believe that spaying and neutering is crucial in stopping the reproduction of unwanted puppies/kittens and massive amounts of animals dying daily in shelters across the country, we expect any animal already in your home to be spayed/neutered. If for any reason you are unable to keep the pet you have adopted you are required to return them to Pet Helpers, Inc.  They are not to be sold or given away.
